Terms & Conditions
Use the customer-friendly terms below. They are written for a normal North Cyprus rent-a-car website and adjusted to the policies provided by the business. Final legal review is recommended before publishing.
1. General Agreement
By booking or using a Blue Kozmos Rent A Car vehicle, the renter agrees to these Terms & Conditions and to the rental agreement signed or confirmed at vehicle handover. Blue Kozmos may update website information, vehicle availability, prices, and rental conditions when required.
2. Driver Requirements
The renter and any additional driver must provide a valid driving licence and a valid ID/passport when requested. Only approved and registered drivers are allowed to drive the rental vehicle. The renter is responsible for ensuring that all driver information is accurate.
3. Booking and Availability
Online bookings and WhatsApp requests are subject to vehicle availability. A booking is confirmed only after Blue Kozmos confirms the vehicle, pickup details, rental period, and payment method. If the selected car is not available, Blue Kozmos may offer a similar vehicle or an alternative option.
4. No Deposit Policy
Blue Kozmos does not require a security deposit for standard rentals. No deposit does not remove the renter’s responsibility for damage, traffic fines, missing fuel, lost keys, late returns, unauthorized use, or costs not covered by insurance or the rental agreement.
5. Payments
Credit card payments are accepted. Crypto payments are accepted by agreement and are confirmed according to the rate, network, and transaction confirmation at the time of payment. Any bank/card commissions, exchange differences, or transaction fees are the responsibility of the renter unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6. Rental Period and Late Return
Rental periods are based on the agreed pickup and return date/time. If the renter needs to extend the rental, they must contact Blue Kozmos before the return time. Late returns may result in additional rental charges and may affect insurance/coverage validity.
7. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the agreed pickup time are free of charge. Cancellations made within 24 hours of pickup are charged at 50% of the rental amount. No-show bookings may be treated as a late cancellation.
8. Fuel Policy
The vehicle should be returned with the same fuel level as received, unless a different written agreement is made. Missing fuel may be charged to the renter.
9. Insurance and Liability
One-sided / third-party insurance is available. Insurance coverage is subject to the rental agreement and local insurance rules. Damage to the rental vehicle, tires, windscreen, interior, loss of keys, negligence, illegal use, off-road use, and unauthorized drivers may not be covered. The renter remains responsible for any costs not covered by insurance.
10. Accidents, Damage, and Breakdown
In the event of an accident, damage, theft, fire, or breakdown, the renter must contact Blue Kozmos immediately and follow instructions. Where required, the renter must obtain a police report and must not leave the scene or arrange repairs without Blue Kozmos approval.
11. Traffic Fines and Legal Responsibility
The renter is responsible for all traffic fines, parking tickets, tolls, penalties, and legal consequences during the rental period. Blue Kozmos may request payment or reimbursement for any fines connected to the rental period.
12. Vehicle Use
The vehicle must be used carefully and legally. Smoking, racing, off-road driving, sub-rental, towing, illegal transport, and use by unauthorized drivers are not allowed. The vehicle must be returned in the same general condition as received, allowing for normal wear.
13. Border / Cross-Area Use
The vehicle may not be taken outside North Cyprus or across any border/checkpoint unless Blue Kozmos gives written permission and any required insurance is arranged in advance. Any unauthorized cross-border use may void insurance and make the renter fully responsible for all costs.
14. Pickup, Delivery, and Return
Pickup and return may be arranged at the Blue Kozmos office, airport, hotel, villa, or another agreed location. Delivery/collection availability and any extra charge should be confirmed before booking.
15. Personal Data
Customer information is used for booking, communication, payment, and rental administration. Blue Kozmos should keep customer
data secure and use it only for legitimate business purposes.
